Basic Life Support is exactly what is says, supporting a life! Placing someone in the recovery position or providing CPR can provide an individual with some essential lifesaving minutes while waiting for the emergency services to arrive.
Survival rates for an unconscious individual are increased by up to 60 percent through prompt resuscitation. With this in mind, life support training aims to increase learners’ confidence when responding to emergency situations. This enables them to act swiftly and effectively to give the affected individual the best chance of recovery. No matter the reason for wanting to learn BLS, having the knowledge and skills in this subject might just save a colleague or loved one in the future.
